The investigation into allegations of corruption regarding the multi-billion rand arms deal for the SA National Defence Force (SANDF) will be a "crucial test for parliamentary oversight", says Democratic Alliance (DA) chief whip Douglas Gibson. 

Addressing about 40 war veterans, mostly generals, in Pretoria, he said that the acquisition with its allegations of corruption, lies, cheating, over-promising and fraud constituted a crucial test for South African democracy.
