There has been much speculation about whether Jacob Zuma will be allowed to rise to the presidency of the ANC and possibly the country.

But those who keep a close eye on the ANC's website already know the answer.

The site offers only six personal pages, devoted to Luthuli, Mandela, Govan Mbeki, Thabo Mbeki, Oliver Tambo (all party presidents) and Zuma.

A biography on the Zuma page ends with: "Jacob Zuma was appointed Executive Deputy President of South Africa in June 1999." That was five years ago. It seems those in charge of the ruling party don't think the nation's Number Two has done anything terribly noteworthy since then.
