Tim Cohen's, Ostrich is still visible with head in the sand; Calestous Juma's, Time to find embezzled millions; and your leader, Elite law (January 18), all cover extremely important issues about Africa that the African Union needs to attend to with the utmost urgency.
The current picture of Africa, of starving children juxtaposed with fatcat politicians , will never be changed until the people who create this perception are prosecuted and imprisoned, instead of being praised.
The situation is only too clear in our own country, where the Robben Island Old Boys Club and their hangers-on believe they have an inalienable right to all SA's riches, making excessive amounts of money by manipulating laws to suit their own ends and supporting those who are caught red-handed with their arms in the tills.
