Jacob Zuma might make a statement on the reported allegations facing him only on Tuesday next week, his lawyer said yesterday.

Earlier this week Michael Hulley said that a statement could be issued on Zuma's behalf yesterday, but this would probably now take place only on Tuesday.

Newspaper reports allege that a woman has laid a complaint of sexual assault against Zuma. He also faces corruption charges and believes he is the victim of a political conspiracy.
