I do not understand what brings Kgalema Motlanthe and Jacob Zuma together.
Motlanthe is not a flamboyant politician like Zuma. He is always sober and represents the rational side of the ANC.
I think he should be advised to distance himself from the Zuma camp. The past three years exposed many negative sides of JZ.
He is easily manipulated, as indicated in the Schabir Shaik fraud and corruption case, and he is a male chauvinist who does hesitate to hide behind his culture when in trouble as was evident in his rape trial.
He is also a tribalist who resorts to tribalism to galvanise support - his supporters wore "Zuma is a 100% Zulu boy" t-shirts.
How can Motlanthe associate himself with such a leader?
