Police Commissioner Jackie Selebi, who is accused of corruption, will make his first appearance in court on February 1.
And, in March, ANC president Jacob Zuma will ask South Africa's highest court to quash part of the corruption case against him.
Both men are defending themselves by attacking the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) unit, the Scorpions, who are responsible for the investigation and prosecution.
Zuma's attorney Michael Hulley confirmed yesterday the Constitutional Court would hear Zuma's bid to challenge the validity of the Scorpions' warrants, used to raid his, and his lawyers' homes and offices in August 2005, on March 11 and 12.
The raid warrants enabled the Scorpions to grab documents which were used to compile a forensic audit into Zuma's financial affairs and the alleged payments he received from convicted fraudster Schabir Shaik.
Selebi has also mounted a Pretoria High Court challenge to the legitimacy of the Scorpions' investigation and prosecution against him.
Selebi's advocate Jaap Cilliers SC was to meet Transvaal Judge President Bernard Ngoepe today to set a date for his civil case against the NPA.
It has emerged that Glenn Agliotti, who could be a key witness against Selebi if he is not charged as a co-accused, has given police another statement, this time on video.
In it he talks about his relationship with, and the action filed against, Selebi.
Meanwhile, President Thabo Mbeki's legal adviser, Mojanku Gumbi, has said Mbeki would respond to questions from MPs about the Selebi saga.
Gumbi said: "The president always answers written questions in Parliament. He only answers oral question on a quarterly basis."
