Arms Deal - Carte Blanche, Sunday 01 April, 2001

2001-03-26

Dear Industry Colleagues and Fellow South African Citizens and Taxpayers

Regarding the arms deal and especially the way the government has mobilised all resources to hamper a proper investigation in almost every possible way, I'm sure all but the most innocent of us can only make one conclusion: "What is there to hide?".

Anyway watch Carte Blanche on MNET on Sunday 01 April, 2001 between 19:00 and 20:00. I am told that they are going to dedicate all or most of the programme on this occasion to the Arms Deal.

(The Carte Blanche programme on the Arms Deal was originally scheduled for broadcast on Sunday 2001-03-04, however, one cannot ever be sure that they will go ahead with a programme such as this. Sometime the final decision whether or not to go ahead is actually made on the day of broadcast.)

Meanwhile, our Virtual Press Office (VPO) is coming on very well. Check it out at :

There are now 335 articles on the VPO dating back from November 1999 up until yesterday. The items are now arranged in date categories; first November 1999 - August 2000, then by month, then by News Headlines.
